EVENTS & COMMITTEES

SCBC IS ALWAYS IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS:
whether you are a parent of a competitive climber, an active or retired climber from a local club, we need your passion and experience to help keep this incredible comminuty and organization going. No matter what your skill or knowledge level, there are plenty of volunteer positions everyone. If you have limited time to give, volunteering at event allows you to pick and choose times that fit your busy schedule. If you have a little more time, joing one of our awesome committees is a great way to give back and make a difference is the overall sporting community of competition climbing.

LIMTED TIME TO GIVE... no problem, consider signing up to help at events. If you have time to watch your kids compete, you have time to volunteer. Don't worry, we'll make sure you can still watch your kids climb and have the best seats in the house.

I DON'T KNOW ENOUGH... not an issue, none of us did when we started. We'll train you and support you trough your SCBC journey. All you not is positive energy and the willingness to learn and work with our like minded people.

HAVE MORE TIME OR PARTICULAR SKILLSET... Awesome, consider joing a committee or running or a board position. We are always lookin for people with a variety of skills, everything from financial, organizatinal, IT, Leadership and communication skills are keys to sucessfule committees and boards. Competition knowledge can be learn along the way but there never really a shortage of people with climbing knowledge.

Volunteers positions needed can be found through a SIGN UP GENIOUS located in the Competition Event Details page. The link for the Competition Details is located beside each event on the Event Schedule page. Click on the SIGN UP GENIOUS link and put your name in. If you are interested in learning how to judge, contact the competition commitee to get started. You can also find lots of judging information, videos and basic training path here.

Many positions only require a few minutes of orientation.
There are many different volunteer roles at every event and each event may diffent in what's needed.
